Although people from the UK are often looking for new and exciting places outside of the country to visit, there are plenty of places in the UK that are worth a look. Even if you’ve been once already, there are plenty of new and exciting experiences to be had from many UK cities and towns. Some offer amazing shopping, others culture, while some have a bit of everything. Before you go looking further afield to get your kicks, look to the UK first. Let’s take a look at just a few of the must visit places in the UK:

Liverpool is called the city of culture by many, and it’s true that it does have a lot of history to brag about. You’ve probably heard of The Beatles, haven’t you? Well, they were all born and raised here. Even if their music isn’t your thing, you should definitely go on The Magical Mystery tour bus. You’ll get a look at some of the most significant places around Liverpool to them and learn all about where they came from. It’s a fantastic experience for anybody. Once you’ve done that, you can shop to your heart’s content. The shopping in Liverpool is out of this world, with huge versions of all of your favourite high street shops. There’s a lot more to do too, but I’ll leave that for you to discover.


Newquay is a seaside town, very chilled and a great place to go for a break away in the UK. The whole place is beautiful. The houses are cute and pretty with colourful gardens, and there’s plenty of beach to relax on. Pair that with some great traditional pubs, and you’ve got yourself a perfect mini holiday. Lots of arcades for the kids too!


London is the capital of the UK, so it only makes sense to include it on the list. We couldn’t possibly include all their is to do here though, as we’d run out of space. There’s something in London for every kind of person, at every age. There’s amazing food paired with the best shisha in London, theatre shows, shopping, sites, and more. There’s always something going on here, so if you’re a hedonist, London is the place to be.


Manchester is the home of football club Manchester United, so if you’re a big fan, you’ve got to visit here. You can watch a match and sing along with some of the club’s most famous songs, and then do some shopping at the United Superstore. Even if you aren’t a fan of football, the Trafford Centre offers an unrivaled shopping experience. Afterwards, you can hit the tiles for an amazing night out.


Birmingham is full of little quirks. Of course there’s the shopping like the rest of the places listed here, but there’s the famous Mailbox too. Full of luxury shops, restaurants, and bars, you can’t go anywhere better for a luxury day out. Fancy some vintage shopping? Whether you want furniture, clothes, or nik naks, you can find it in Digbeth just around the corner.
