My 3 year old loved this craft!! She insisted on eating a piece of the dough, so I let her. She spit it out right away, but nothing to worry about, as this kid craft is safe for these instances! Wink

Materials/Ingredients:
2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Christmas cookie cutters
toothpick
acrylic paint
paper plate
paint brushes
string, yarn, ribbon, or twine

Step 1:
Mix all purpose flour, water, and vegetable oil in a medium sized mixing bowl until dough forms. When this is complete, preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

Step 2:
Take dough out of bowl and with a rolling pin, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thick.

Step 3:
Using cookie cutters, cut out shapes in the dough.

Step 4:
Take toothpick, and poke hole in top of the dough ornament to get the size of the hole you desire. Place ornaments on cookie sheets (hint: we rolled the dough out on the cookie sheets, which made it much easier for us)

Step 5:
Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes. Remove from oven, take off of cookie sheet and let cool for approximately 30 minutes.

Step 6:
Use paper plate to put acrylic paints on. Paint your baked ornaments as you wish. Let them dry (takes about 5 min for acrylic paint to dry). String with twine, ribbon, string, or whatever else you would like to use.

Complete!! Makes excellent topper on a wrapped present!
