Why Are Children Cutest When They Do Wrong?

Arianna & Lexi : my beautiful daughters

Arianna & Lexi : my beautiful daughtersDo you know what the one thing I have a hard time with my children is?  It is when they do something wrong and you discipline them, they give you this look as if their world has crumbled to the ground.  It tugs at your heart strings and you just want to tell them how sorry you are for hurting their feelings.  You can’t though, because the moment will pass and they will get over the fact that they got into trouble.  They are not scarred for life, or not even for more than a minute.  Cave in and comfort them too soon and the damage is done… what you punish them for will not be taken seriously in the future.

She Never Learns And Will Remain A Deadbeat Forever

It never ceases to amaze me when the egg donor opens her mouth and pulls out her latest stunt.  As you may or may not know, my beautiful and amazing 6 year old daughter Arianna is technically my step daughter, but in my eyes she is my daughter.  Her birth mother is what I like to call her egg donor, aka the woman who gave birth to her and then decided that her job was done.  If you are not yet aware of this portion of my family’s life, you can catch up by reading my blog posts, “Deadbeat Mothers Do Exist” and “If It Angers Me, I Am Assigned To Correct It.”

Not Your Average Vegetarian

Have you ever taken a bite of something that was not prepared properly and it completely turned you off of that particular food?  When I was 12 years old I bit into a chicken nugget from McDonalds which had a chewy, stringy tendon stuffed inside of its crispy shell and that was the end of my chicken nugget eating days.  I didn’t just stop at chicken nuggets, however, as I am not your average person.  I tend to be a bit of a drama queen (all completely unintentional, I swear!).  The wheels were turning inside of my little head, and I started thinking about all meat, and how it was once a living and breathing animal.  I was no longer able to stomach the fact that I was eating flesh and blood.  I declared to my mother and father that I was a vegetarian!
